When will things be happening?
Saturday, August 1, 2020 is the big day, full of fun activities, performances, and live music enjoyable by the entire family. Veteran’s Field in Long Beach is where all the fun takes place! Friday evening, there’s a dinner, entertainment, and live music suitable for the 21 and over crowd that takes place at the Long Beach Elks Club.
Is the event free?
All of the activities on Saturday are free for spectators. There will be food and beverages available for sale at the event venue, Veteran’s Field, as well as many great casual and more upscale restaurants around town. The Friday night dinner and show does have a fee to attend — more information is available here.
Where can we park?
There is plenty of free parking available in the downtown Long Beach area, both street front and in marked public parking lots.
Where are the restrooms?
There’s a modern public restroom directly south of Marsh’s Free Museum, on the corner of Pacific Avenue and 5th Street SW. Public restrooms are also available at the beach approaches.
Is the event accessible?
Veteran’s Field is a well-established and maintained lawn, with a surface suitable for most wheelchairs and strollers. There are designated handicapped parking places south of the Veteran’s Field stage, as well as other marked locations around the downtown Long Beach area.
Will there be t-shirts and souvenirs for sale?
Yes, there will be event-related items, as well as vendors selling quirky merchandise, food, and drinks throughout the day on Saturday at Veteran’s Field.
