Graceland Five Confirmed!
Posted By Jake's Party Planner on May 11, 2011
Ladies and Gentlemen Jake the Alligator Man is ecstatic to announce that The Graceland Five have just joined the bill for the Saturday August 6th Car Show festivities.
The Graceland Five are a punk rock all-ELVIS revue from Seattle, WA. Formed in August 2010, bassist and founder Sweet Willy P joined forces with members of The Dehumanizers, and The All American Playboys, and DragStrip Riot to form The Graceland Five. Chachee Morockin’ (The All American Playboys) took on the role of Elvis, with Jerry Jeff (The All American Playboys) on drums, Phil Bentz (Slam Suzanne, The Dehumanizers) and Knuck (Drag Strip Riot) on guitars, and Sweet Willy P. (The Kings) on bass. The ambitious five-piece set to work re-arranging classic Elvis cuts and molding them into aggressive punk songs. A progressive vision took shape as the band mined ever-deeper cuts from Elvis’ back catalog to create a musically tight punk and rock n roll tribute, well-balanced with equal parts humor and talent. The band aggressively started booking shows around the NW and beyond and almost immediately, The Graceland Five caught fire with music fans and is proving to be a sought after act in local venues. See a show and you’re guaranteed to both laugh your ass off, and rock your aggression out.
~We are a good-time band that comes to your town and rocks your pants off! ~We do Elvis songs as if Elvis had a Punk Rock backing band. ~No Attitude! ~ Just Fun!! The way music is supposed to be!!~
