Jake loves Dingo Dizmal & Olive Root Beer

Posted By on July 1, 2010

Jake has a friend Dingo Dizmal.  I met Dingo 3 years, he was in the first line up of performers to play for Jake.  That first year I had about 3 months to pull off this event so I scrambled to get performers Jake would approve of, in a short amount of time on virtually no budget  for entertainment.  My fried Mae suggested Dingo so I contacted him he agreed and then I lost touch with him. To be honest when I saw him online I was kind of frightened because this is a merchants sponsored event and I thought Dingo looked a little street savvy for little old Long Beach.

See why I thought he may be too much for L.B.

I didn’t pursue the contact I figured if he is meant to come up he will. After all in the few emails I did have with him he asked how long it would take him to peddle his bike with house bike attached to Long Beach.

Dingo and the House Bike no kidding a House Bike.

Imagine my surprise when my boss got a google alert for Long Beach and it was Dingo’s blog talking about his upcoming trip to L.B. Looks like it was meant to be. Dingo and his entourage showed up with all kinds of bikes fire crackers and I think a dog. Though street savvy Dingo is also a genuinely funny and a all around stand up good guy. Last year Dingo brought up the lovely Olive Root Beer, I follow Dingo’s blog because it makes me laugh out loud and that is important to me. On the blog he introduced Olive and you could tell from the posts he was head over heels for this beautiful interesting talented lady. Well how couldn’t he be I think they are a match made in heaven. Take a look at the blog or face book page and you get a little flavor for this unusual duo. I’m pretty sure they wont be moving to the suburbs and joining the country club any time soon and of course that is a very good thing. As it turns out Long Beach loves Dingo, Olive and friends. I have a theory the beach is kind of a magnet for free thinking artist types I also think you have to be slightly off your rocker to live on a peninsula that can at times be very cut off from “normal’ what ever that is society. Dingo is Jake the Alligator Man’s kind of people.

Tall Bike.

If I had to put him in a box and label it it would say Bohemian.

But I would never want to put Dingo in a box

that just wouldn’t be right.
