This years Bride of Jake Contest was bigger than ever, because this event revolves around a circus freak the girls were able to explore different avenues than the run of the mill beauty contest may offer. We encourage the ladies to step out of the box get your inspiration from B-Movies, Universal Monster Movies, Circus Side Show, you get the picture.

The gift basket was loaded with candy from the Candyman. Gift certificates included, $25.00 for Marsh’s Free Museum, $25.00 from the Long Beach Pharmacy and a two night stay at the Breakers. Beautiful Steam Punk  jewelry from ellepaisley.etsy.com and several fabulous creations by Lucky Cupcake, rings, necklace, bows and flowers. All of the contestants received a one of a kind green Lucky Cupcake bow with Jake smack dab in the middle. Gotfox donated Very Very beautiful Pasties and Seaview One Stop threw in a few retro goodies. A huge thank you to all who donated!! Please any of you girls who were contestants of received an honorary Jake the Alligator Man hair bow do get a picture of your self in the finery and send it to Lucky Cupcake or post it to Jake’s facebook page.

Meet the Contestants

Hai Fleisch! (It’s German, pronounced, “Hi. Fly-shh.”) I am a burlesque performer, pin up model, costumer and a film student in Portland, but I originally hail from San Francisco. I love everything related to circus and the sideshow including Jake!

Hai is a brilliant and stunning lady she performs with the Rose City Shimmy and made her debut to the Jake the Alligator man stage this year commanding everyone’s attention the moment she stepped on the stage. She captured Jake’s heart with her Circus inspired costume  beauty talent and brains.

Rebekah Komp (aka) “Bekz” I’d love to be the next bride of Jake the Alligator man. I believe Jake needs more than just a lovely lady with style, she also needs substance and I have a lot to offer to Mr. Jake.  I’m a musician, an artist, a bartender, and I can bring a little spice to the kitchen.  Aside from being the best housewife for Jake I can possibly be, I’m also in the processes of recording a first album with my band. I love Jake. Bekz dressed in Ring Master attire can crack her whip for Jake any day.

Cherry West I’m sugar and spicy! A little naughty and a little nice. I’m a southern girl who would make a perfect bride for Jake! I love me an alligatorman! Cherry is a sweet little gal with a lot to offer ol’ Jake he does love a southern girl who can cook if ya know what I mean.

Lucy Dagger (aka )Missy Bageant

Lucy and Jake go way back Lucy used to work at the museum and knows it like the back of her hand even shown Jake around a time or two. She is a Siren of the Sea and a pirate to boot. The perfect mix of beauty and danger Jake absolutely loves.

And of a officer of love, I feel that I would be the best bride for Jake because he has already arrested my heart!
This Sergent can slap the cuffs on Jake whenever she pleases.

Monica Smith (aka) Monica Midnight From the Black Lake Bayou.

Monica Midnight with out her magic this event would never be she will always have a piece of Jake’s heart.

Betty Brass Knuckles (aka) Box Wine Betty (aka) Jessie Pavia

She lives her life by the motto “A Box Wine Betty always looks like a lady but very rarely acts like one.”

Betty Brass Knuckles Dressed like a Circus inspired Geisha warmed Jake’s heart and a few other, things she stunned the audience with her hula hoop act. I’m pretty sure this is just the tip of the iceberg of talents this lady has to offer.

Angiebelle sings and strums for Angie and the Car Wrecks She says this is her first Pinup contest but she is game for anything!
Jake took notice the moment she hit the stage with her band she is like 200 pounds of dynamite in a 98 pound package K-Boom! She is smokin.

This sweet little song bird had everyone mesmerized with her beauty and sweet voice and of course it didn’t hurt her love song was pointed directly at Jake.

The title Brides Maid of Jake went to Charlotte Treuse of the Rose City Shimmy

Charlotte Treuse back for the second year in a row. Last year she came with a pickled punk of Jake claiming he was Jake’s baby, as you know Jake denied all responsibility that nasty little thing could have been anyone’s. Far be it from Jake to hold it against Charlotte and as soon as she put the ugly little thing away, Jake and Charlotte slipped away for some alone time. Well Charlotte being a krafty minx was able to snatch one of the hairs off Jake’s head for a DNA test. This year she was back with a toddlergator and a DNA test that conclusively proved yes Jake is the father. Jake’s plan now is to get Charlotte to agree to sell the little freak to a reputable Side Show so he and Charlotte can have all the alone time they need and not worry about this little mistake.
Needless to say Jake made it down to the vets office and has been neutered so this will never happen again.

And THE WINNER is……………..

Bride of Jake 2010 Olga and Elsa (aka) Mishalla DeGagne and Cara Mia
These two beautiful but tortured souls, bound by flesh to forever walk
the earth together, are Olga and Elsa.
They’re sisters born into carnival life, daughters of the bearded lady
and her part time lover the sword swallower, Otto Toppfellow.
As slaves to the sideshow, they were forced to work long hours and
sleep in cages.
Their life-long goal has always been to break free from the evil
clutches of the Carnival be bound to Jake in partially-eternal
wedlock.
What more can I say they won!! Thank you judges for bringing Jake two for the price of one.

Jake would like to take this time to thank Joy Garcia-Roughton owner of Lucky Cupcake and co owner of Lucky Dog Tattoo. This contest would not have been possible with out her diligence and hard work. He would also like to thank Salon LOL for opening up the salon for the girls to take over on a Saturday I’m sure they could have been booked up and making money. Thank you Thank you!!
