Vintage Roadside and the Event T of the Year
Posted By Jake's Party Planner on July 12, 2010
I first became aware of Vintage Roadside while perusing myspace. I was drawn in immediately with the amazing designs and vintage vibe. They specialize in authentic vintage advertising from Roller Rinks and bowling alleys to the Atomic Tunnel and a personnel favorite the Pixie Land. Oh and the ever popular Tiki line.
Kelly and Jeff have a passion for historic preservation with each t shirt you get a brief history lesson on the business or attraction your shirt features. They also offer a one year membership to the National Trust for Historic Preservation with your first order.
When I saw the fantastic designs and the love of preserving mid century Mom and Pop type businesses I thought Why not ask if they would like to produce a shirt for Jake’s Birthday Event. It is a bit of a departure for them but Marsh’s free museum is the personification of kitschy Mom and Pops of the 40’s and 50’s. Jake is very proud of the fact that his is the only shirt they produce that has anything to do with a business or event that is still in operation.
Jake is absolutely ecstatic to have the design expertise and quality Vintage Roadside produce. This is no cheesy event T this is a wardrobe staple any hipster would gladly sport.
I have to say I have a strong vision for the look of this event and VR pretty much read my mind when it comes to design. As a matter of fact the design smashing between beachdog.com and Vintage Roadside equals the fantastic design of this website. So thank you once again Jeff and Kelly for channeling the Jake the Alligator Man vision I’m so lucky to work with you guys on this project.
